And personally I have the Kindle App on my iPad as well as Apple Books. I tried Google Books and didn’t like it. But I’m wondering if I shouldn’t buy a Kindle device to decrease the time I spend on mi iPad!

Always good to get a feel for what your options are! I’ve been a long-time “real” books made of paper advocate, but I find myself reading online more and more simply because of the convenience. It sure is nice to have things on your phone when you find yourself with an extra minute! I may have to consider installing one of these ebook apps to improve how much time I’m spending reading full-length books.
Hi Jessica,
Indeed, one of the benefits of the ebooks and the readers is convenience. You can check my post on
When I use ebooks, audiobooks and printed books for more insights on that.

I think this post is a good source of information for anyone who wants to enjoy reading ebooks on their phone, tablet, or computer. It covers a wide range of apps, from the well-known Kindle and Google Play Books, to the more specialized Media365, Realm, and Scribd. It also mentions some of the benefits and drawbacks of each app, such as the availability of free books, the quality of the reader interface, and the subscription options.
I personally use Kindle and Google Play Books for most of my ebook reading, but I’m curious to try some of the other apps that the post recommends. I like the idea of reading serialized stories on Realm, or accessing unlimited books on Scribd. I also appreciate that the post provides links to download the apps, so I can easily check them out.
Hi Jonah,
I appreciate that you find the post helpful. These are the best ebook readers in my opinion. Let me know if you need other app reviews!

Hi Mario,
This is a great article, you’ve provided so much detail and very many options.
I’m very much a hardcover book reader myself. I find there’s something about turning that next page, but of course, the way the digital world is progressing, fast this is probably going to become the way forward.
Being someone who has yet to take that plunge into digital reading, I was quite surprised by the very many options that are available and as you say, you can have an entire library at your fingertips by using these apps.
Does your article list the apps in order of best to last and if that’s the case should I consider the Kindle as a first-timer to the digital book arena?
Look forward to hearing from you and thanks again.
Cherie :o)
Hi Cherie,
No, the order is not from best to worst. Depends on what you have. If you are an iOS user (iPhone and/or iPad), you could go with Apple Books. Kindle is a good all-around solution because it has an app for iOS, Android, PC & Mac, and, of course, the many Kindle readers – Kindle Paperwhite being my personal favourite. And a vast array of resources, to harness all its capabilities. So, Kindle would be my first suggestion.
Thanks for the constructive comment!
Regards,
Marios
