Hello Marios! I have had the pleasure of reading your post on the rise of ebooks.
The rise of ebooks is certainly not surprising given their numerous advantages that you have listed and I also agree that they will continue to evolve as we move forward. I have my ereader right beside my bed! I find them much easier to handle as you don’t have to hold them open like you do with paper books. That is a convenience that I like although I still have my favorite paper books on the shelf. For the most part ebooks can be produced at a lower price point than traditional paper books and I think that is an advantage that is going to make them more popular as we move forward. Thank you for sharing this with us today!

Hey Grant,
Indeed, eBooks are here to stay, and have many advantages over traditional books. This doesn’t mean that print books are going to leave us soon. They both have their advantages and disadvantages, and people who prefer one format or the other.
It’s a matter of personal choice really. Thenks for dropping by, and for leaving a comment!

Ebooks have been a wonderful invention, and it gives more writers the chance to publish books. My uncle used to publish books and it is so expensive to do, then you sit with all the stock that you need to try and sell to recoup your costs. Now he simply loads them up on Amazon and he has virtually no costs and his books are going out to a wider audience.
I love to have a book in my hand, but call me old fashioned. My daughter and her friends would rather read on a kindle or tablet. Just shows how it goes with the different generations.
Hey Michel,
I think it’s the classic debate: paper books vs ebooks. I read both, depending on the book. Generally, though, I prefer ebooks. They are more practical, and I can adjust the experience (lighting, spacing, font size etc) to my convenience.
The younger generation, being digital natives, tend to prefer ebooks while we, who are digital immigrants, tend to prefer printed books ๐ ๐

I found your exploration of the rise of eBooks quite fascinating! The convenience and accessibility they offer are undeniable, especially in today’s digital age. Have you noticed any particular trends or shifts in reading habits since the rise of eBooks? Personally, I’ve found that while I still enjoy physical books for certain genres, eBooks have become my go-to for travel or late-night reading sessions.
Your discussion on the environmental impact of eBooks versus printed books is thought-provoking. It’s heartening to see technology contributing to sustainability efforts. However, there’s something special about the tactile experience of holding a physical book. Do you think eBooks will eventually completely replace printed books, or will there always be a place for both formats in the reading world? I believe it’s a nuanced discussion worth exploring further. Thank you for shedding light on this evolving aspect of literature!
Hey pasindu,
Thanks for your kind words!
As far as I’m concerned, I read mostly ebooks. I always have my ebooks with me, on my mobile phone. So it’s easy for me to read anytime, anyplace!
I don’t believe that ebooks will totally replace printed ebooks. Even I – an ebook and tech lover – buy and read printed books. I explain When I use ebooks, audiobooks and printed books.
So, thanks for dropping by and for leaving a comment. Much appreciated!
