eBooks and Audiobooks are great to read and listen. But, did you know that listening to audiobooks is one of the best ways to improve literacy? Here’s how!
I too have started listening to audiobooks recently, just to kill time during my commute to work. Listening to the radio is too noisy for me in the morning so I thought a change would be good. Surprisingly, I got hooked and before I knew, I was trying a few services and finally settled with Scribd as their pricing and features were the most reasonable.
Meanwhile, I have also started a blog so listening to proficient reading about 20 minutes a day actually helps to improve on my writing and critical thinking skills as well.
I’m glad you liked the idea of Audiobooks. I have been using them as well for quite some time now, not during my commute (I prefer podcasts at that time) but at home or when I have some idle time mostly. I am using Audible myself, because I am on the Amazon ecosystem, with a Kindle and the rest. But, I will give Scribd a try. It might be to my interest. Although I like Kindle and its format a lot.
I have read your article and understood the main concept about audio books and it’s effectiveness on our literacy. I have same opinion and agree with you that if we want to increase our listening power and literacy knowledge , we should study through audio books. I believe that this will increase concentration also. I am going to share it with my others friends also. Thanks for writing this helpful post.
