I have been looking for a mobile platform to read eBooks in comfort for years. Up until now, I have used my HTC smartphone, but with that, I can’t concentrate for too long without getting eye strain.

Kindle have been offering eBook readers for some time now and I have yet to take consider the Kindle Fire eBook reader.

However, from what I see in this short but welcome review is that the new Kindle Fire 7 (seven-inch display) is currently the best eBook reader to go for.

At a measly $50 from Amazon, that’s very affordable.

      Jan,

Yes, Kindle Fire 7 is a very afforadble device, but have in mind that it is a 7″ tablet. If you want a dedicated eBook reader, I’d suggest a Kindle Paperwhite.

With so many tablets out there, it can get overwhelming for an ebook reader like myself. I currently have a mini iPad, and so far using the iBooks app, it’s easy to read pdfs. But when it comes to Kindle and others, I am thinking of getting a proper tablet. Your list really helps to narrow down where to look – will definitely keep these in mind when I surf the sites your recommended.

Thanks for the kind words. It is overwhelming, but I’m glad I helped!
